PF Flyers: Shoes that are actually good for you

The PF in PF Flyers stands for Posture Foundation. About 70 years ago, these sneakers were born. And with the patented Posture Foundation insole technology, they went along to set a new standard in sneaker comfort. These were also the shoes worn by the US Army soldiers in the '60s!

Mixing Espadrille tennis classic with vintage foxing details, these are American classics with a strong heritage and an old-school twist (check their diamond patterned outsoles). And if you've the time to spare, you should really check out their past advertisements, going all the way back to 1935. We love it.

The Sumfun Lo by PF Flyers is now available at Rockstar. Available in both canvas and leather uppers, and in both Male & Female sizes.

Pointer Men's: What's the occasion?

Conor, SGD 289

We've come to expect a certain level of workmanship from the British label, and these 4 new models did not disappoint.

The Benson (below), as always, is made with moccasin wrap-around construction and finely crafted in Portugal. The quality suede used on the mid-cut Conor (top), the Tanju and the Angus loafers contrasts the heavy leathers of the Benson
nicely. Choice of which really depends on our personal style or the occasion we're getting the new pair for.

Timeless and solid, this understated label has always been a favourite within the Rockstar team. True elegance is hard to replicate and POINTER shoes does a great job at demonstrating it.

Monocle: July/August 2011 issue

We're loving this newest issue: Read about Sydney's art scene, San Francisco's country-of-origin efforts, special Florence city guide, and definitely pick it up for their now popular annual ranking of the Best 25 Cities to Call Home (look out for Singapore!).

TOMS: This Weekend

Hang on to your hats! A new shipment of TOMS Classic Canvas (SGD89) & University Rope Sole Classics (SGD98) will be arriving in our store this Saturday. We've got these for both Men & Ladies.

For the colours that will be available, do head on over to our Facebook Page.

P.S. We got so inspired while surfing this, and especially when we came across this quote - ‎"The problems of the world cannot possibly be solved by skeptics or cynics...We need men and women who can dream of things that never were." - JFK. How about sporting your new pair of TOMS and living by this quote this weekend?

SIFR Footwear: Dress shoes for the everyday

Shoes for men should be pulled off with ease -- and the new SIFR footwear collection ranks high on our I-can-wear-this-everywhere list.

The genius of this series lies in the versatility.

You could wear them with suits and not look out of place. The subtle deviation from tradition hints at quirkiness but doesn't make a big deal out of it. On weekends, well-worn jeans will work just as well.

We love the make of the shoes, the well-selected materials, and the fact that (as Chris from SIFR puts it most elegantly) we wouldn't get caught by HR for disrespecting the office dress-code with them on.

These are sturdy shoes that will bring you through many good office and drinking hours.
